The Cooper's Choice range of single cask whiskies from Scotland's finest distilleries are releases from the Family owned Independent Bottlers; The Vintage Malt Whisky Company. The range is a homage to the passion and skill of the Coopers, the craftsmen, who build the barrels for maturation of Scotch Whisky. The range focuses on the impact of maturation in oak, and includes several obscure and rare wood finishes.

Unique to Scotland in it's use of a hammer mill and mash filter in lieu of a mash tun, Teaninich seek to produce unusual grassy and green tea characters via their ultra-clear wort. 

As part of the Diageo stable of distilleries, Teaninich to-date does not have it's own Distillery Bottlings, however with the recent expansion of capacity to over 10M litres we may expect this to change at some point. Given not just the production capacity, but also the unique character of whisky produced, Teaninich whisky has long been celebrated by the Independent Bottlers.

This single cask release of Teaninich spent much of its 11 years maturing in a single American Oak cask, prior to a finish in a single ex-Sherry cask. 

Expect a fruity, sweet nose with light sherry notes. The palate has lovely sweet malt character, with sherry, spice and boiled sweets. The finish has good length, with more fruit and spice. 

700mL, 47.5% VOL. From a cask of only 258 bottles.

Bottled without Chill-filtration or colour additions, and at natural cask-strength.
