Select Scotch Whisky are a family-owned, husband and wife business, proudly bringing a fantastic selection of several Independent bottlers of Scotch whisky into Australia, including Carn Mor, Cooper's Choice, The Whisky Cellars and more.
Select Scotch Whisky began in 2012 as a small-scale Whisky review blog in the deep dark parts of the internet, but evolved in 2017 when Simon and Karina Spier began importing a small number of bottles of Scotch Whisky into Australia to share with friends and family. The rest is history!
Simon Spier works in Sales and Marketing for a couple of wine businesses, and is a part owner of Wirrega Vineyards in South Australia's Limestone Coast. Simon is a Chartered Accountant and a WSET diploma student. His passion for wine has taken him around the world, and after living in Scotland on and off from 2011 to 2016 he's fallen for the people, philosophy, stories and of course drinks.
"I want to show that Scotch Whisky is a whole lot more exciting than the formulaic distillery label releases. I focus on Single Cask, Cask Strength Scotch Whisky from some of Scotland's best family owned Independent Bottlers, because I believe Scotch is at its best when unadulterated, un-touched and produced as a limited and rare expression. The world of Indie Scotch Whiskies is a fascinating and exciting journey to take."
On return to Australia, Simon is determined to bring to you Scotch Whiskies that represent the best of what the industry is about and help you discover that special unique dram that you will never forget.
