At Slyrs Whisky Distillery, the focus is on producing an ultra crisp, fruity and clean style of spirit, ensuring what goes into the cask is of the highest quality. This desire to produce only exceptional quality also has motivated the decision to not chill-filter or add colours to the whiskies. 

Considering Germany isn't necessarily a country we naturally think of when we think of Single Malt Whisky, it may be surprising to know Slyrs have been producing whisky since 1999. In fact there are currently more than 300 distilleries in Germany producing whisky, however most of these are Schnapps producers, making small amounts of whisky on the side. For Slyrs though, Whisky is the passion and focus, which has seen them grow to be the number one selling German single malt whisky brand, exporting to over 25 countries.

100% of the barley used by Slyrs Distillery is grown within the local Bavarian region, with the use of crystal clear glacial waters from the nearby Alps. 

The definitive release from Slyrs Bavarian distillery is their Slyrs Classic Bavarian Malt Whisky that has been matured in heavily toasted virgin American white oak casks for atleast 3 years. The resulting whisky is Malty, with sweet Apricot fruits and an almond nuttiness.

The passion at Slyrs was rewarded in 2015 when they were awarded the Best European Single Malt Whisky Trophy at the World Whisky Awards, and certainly many more awards since!
