Douglas Laing and Co

Douglas Laing & Co. is a renowned independent bottler of Scotch whisky, based in Glasgow, Scotland. Established in 1948 by Fred Douglas Laing, the company is now run by the second and third generations, Fred Laing and Fred's daughter, Cara.

Douglas Laing & Co. has played a significant role in shaping the modern Scotch whisky industry, offering whisky enthusiasts a diverse range of exceptional single malts and blends. Their commitment to quality, innovation, and unique branding has made them a beloved name among whisky connoisseurs worldwide.

In their long history they have become known for bottling premium single cask single malt whiskies across their Exceptional Single Cask series (Provenance, Old Particular and XOP), while also building a global following for their Remarkable Regional Malt (eg Big Peat, Scallywag, Timorous Beastie, Rock Island, The Gauldrons). In 2019 Douglas Laing and Co acquired the small Strathearn Distillery in the heart of Perthshire. Strathearn is one of Scotland's smallest distilleries, producing very small quantities of whisky in very traditional hands-on techniques.
