Douglas Laing and Co's Old Particular range consists of unique bottlings of hand selected Single Cask Scotch Malt Whisky, bottled without colouring or chill filtering. Fred Laing (Douglas Laing and Co Chairman) and / or Cara Laing (Fred's daughter and the Director of Malts) scour their warehouses looking for the truly exceptional and highest quality whiskies for selection as single cask releases under the Old Particular range.

This 18 Year Old Single Cask Whisky was distilled at the Tamdhu distuillery in the Speyside region. I was immediately impressed with punchy aromas of bright and ripe red apples with custard cream that jump from the glass (reminding me personally of the Mortlach 16 year old Flora and Fauna release that is long gone). A delightfully fruity and light after dinner dram.
