Linkwood 2011/10 year old Carn Mor Strictly Limited Scotch Whisky

The Carn Mor Strictly Limited range of Scotch Whisky from the Family-owned Independent Bottlers, Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers, are a collection of Scotch whiskies from some of the finest distilleries in Scotland. What makes the whiskies so special is that all the whiskies are non-chill-filtered to keep all of the oils and proteins that give it that fantastic authentic and non-doctored flavour in the bottle. As real as it gets.

This 10 year-old scotch whisky was distilled in 2011 at the Speyside Linkwood distillery. The whisky was fully matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels. Prior to bottling the whisky was proofed back to 47.5% ABV, with no chill-filtration or colour added. 1255 bottles were produced.

Simon's notes: A gentle nose of vanilla custard over lemon citrus and fresh white peaches. Intensely fruity on the palate, with more peaches, met with nectarines and pink lady apples.  Plenty of vanilla and a gentle kitchen spice round out this dangerously drinkable whisky! A medium long finish.
