Ledaig 1972 40 Year Old Alambic Classique Scotch Whisky
Tobermory distillery on the isle of Mull now use the name 'Ledaig' for their peated expressions, but earlier in their history all releases were named 'Ledaig'. The distillery has a checkered history of opening and closing, with the shortest stint being 1972 to 1975. This single cask (cask ref 13310) bottling from German Indie bottlers Alambic Classique represents a very special part of Ledaig's history. A single ex-Oloroso Sherry Cask producing only 113 bottles was bottled in 2013 at a natural cask strength of 48.2% ABV, with no colour or chill filtration. A truly limited and collectable bottle.
