Sweden based Independent bottlers of Scotch Whisky, 'Ingelred' have developed a cult following in their Nordic home-lands, which they well deserve. For more than 20 years Ingelred have backed their own palates, and carved a niche focusing on a playful and curious approach to cask experimentation, often producing outstanding results.  

Ben Nevis distillery, on the western foot of Ben Nevis, has long been one of our favourite distilleries, producing honest malt with a 'funky' edge. We are always drawn to Indie releases of Ben Nevis, as they very rarely disappoint; and this is another great example.

This single cask bottling spent it's first 14 years in a 2nd-fill ex-bourbon cask before being racked into a ex-Port hogshead in 2018 until it's bottling in November 2020. 

Expect a big malt with the tell-tale Ben Nevis texture on the palate. There is great complexity of the competing fruit sweet notes (from the Port cask) and the creamy vanilla notes (from the ex-bourbon cask). Orchard fruits (peach) sit well alongside the vanilla and dried sultanas. A long rich and fruity finish.
