I first tried this small batch release of Mortlach Scotch Whisky in one of my all-time favourite bars, the Bow Bar on Victoria Street in Edinburgh, and had to chase it up when I returned to Aus.

Gordon and Machphail are the largest of the independent bottlers of Scotch Whisky, which gives them unparalleled access to some of the highest quality casks of Scotch Whisky, alongside strong relationships with most of the Distilleries in Scotland.

This malt is distinctly a Mortlach Scotch Whisky. It's big, bold and rich; what we have come to expect from 'the Beast of Dufftown'. Beautifully rounded and long with plenty of Citrus peel and berries on the pallet with supporting Vanilla. A very memorable Mortlach Scotch Whisky.
