Fleurieu Distillery 'The Hunting of the Snark' Australian Whisky

Fleurieu Distillery is found on the Goolwa Wharf near the mouth of the River Murray in South Australia. Owners, Gareth and Angela Andrews, have been passionately refining their craft with numerous small batch releases, coming to the attention of the whisky loving public in 2017 with the high quality of their initial releases. 

Named in honour of Lews Carroll's 1876 children's classic of the same name, the Fleurieu Distillery Hunting of the Snark Australian Whisky is a peated malt, matured in 2nd fill ex-Apera (Australian sherry) casks. 

 Winner of the Best Single Malt Whiskey Trophy at the Melbourne Royal Show 2023.

 The Judges say…
“Peanut brittle on the nose. Body is a caramel oil slick, with a meaty vegetable smoke that lingers long into the soft herbal smoke. Fruity, floral, with lovely aromatics. Very well matured. Great balance between spirit and cask. The soft smoke character hums along as the palate develops. Estery, floral through the finish…”

47% alc/vol, available in 700ml bottles only and limited to 520 hand-numbered bottles.
