Bunnahabhain 44 Year Old Scotch Whisky - Single Malts Of Scotland
As an independent bottler, Speciality Drinks Ltd searches for casks from the different distilleries around Scotland, looking for the best malts to share with whisky enthusiasts the world over. Each cask is sampled and only if it is found to be of the best quality will it be bottled in the Single Malts of Scotland range as a Single Cask or as part of a small batch.
Bunnahabhain distillery can be found at the north part of the Sound of Islay, facing over the Sound to the Isle of Jura, and the classic view to the three highest mountains of Jura, The Paps of Jura.
This bottling of a Bunnahabhain 44 Year Old Scotch Whisky is limited to only 492 bottles. An exceptional age statement for what is a truly exceptional and desirable Scotch whisky.
Except this Bunnahabhain 44 Year Old to have a nose expressing a fight between fresh fruits and confectionary, with plums and quince battling caramel and bubblegum. Ginger spices marry the underlying and still existing biscuit malt character, with gentle floral notes. The Palate is juicy, and expectedly honeyed, with touches of wild meadow, damp cedar wood and tabacco. A wonderfully complex dream dram.
Bottled without chill filtration or colour additions at a natural cask strength of 42.4% ABV.
