The Balvenie distillery was built in 1892 by William J. Grant. The name Balvenie means 'village of luck'. The company is still in the hand of the William Grant & Sons Ltd.
This single malt Scotch whisky has been matured exclusively in a first fill ex-bourbon barrel for at least 12 years, producing no more than 300 bottles. Bottled without chill filtration at higher ABV of 47.8% for an exceptional drinking experience.
The use of a first fill ex-Bourbon cask ensures sweetness and subtle vanilla oak alongside the exceptional Balvenie maltiness.
