The Whisky Cellar Glentauchers 12 Year Old Scotch Malt Whisky

The Whisky Cellar is an Edinburgh-based independent Scotch Whisky bottler, selecting casks from its private stock at the peak of their character. Founded by Keeper of the Quaich, Keith Bonnington, Keith searches far and wide for casks showing exceptional complexity of flavour and length on the palate.

The Whisky Cellar Glenburgie 1995 28 Year Old single malt scotch whisky is a single cask bottling of cask#6686; a fully matured refill ex-Bourbon Hogshead, bottled for the series 7 out-turn from Edinburgh based Independent Bottler, The Whisky Cellar. The refill cask has proved a perfect vessel for such a long maturation, allowing the malt to soften while retaining its delicate notes.

Expect notes strawberry jam, lemon blossom, fresh mint, lime zest, brown sugar, clove studded cream, old oak and syrupy ginger.

The cask produced 205 bottles (with 6 only coming to Australia) at a natural cask strength of 52.8% ABV.
