Ledaig 15 Year Old 2008 Old Particular Scotch Whisky

Since 1948 Douglas Laing and Co have been trailblazers in the Independent Bottling scene. Innovators in packaging and liquid, never afraid to bottle casks of unique and distinct character. The Old Particular range from Douglas Laing represent bottlings of 'particularly' highly sought after casks from across Scotland. Bottled with no-chill filtration or colour additions at higher ABV's.

From the Tobermory Distillery found on the isle of Mull in the inner-Hebrides comes this smoky Ledaig Scotch Whisky from a single cask (cask ref DL17765). The peated whisky was distilled in 2008 and left in a single refill hogshead for more than 15 years, until Douglas Laing bottled it for their Old Particular series, with an outturn of 349 bottles. A wonderfully smoky, maritime whisky here.

"Nose: Damp earth immediately - then comes bonfire ash and dark treacle. Palate: More of that earth / soil character with allspice, peated Malt and heavily charred oak. Finish: Long....smoked bacon and damp ash balanced by a burnt sugar sweetness." CSL

A sensational release highlighting why Ledaig is a distillate to watch!

700mL. 48.4% VOL. From a single cask of 349 bottles.
