Linkwood 11 Year Old Muscat Cask Scotch Whisky by The Cooper's Choice

The Cooper's Choice range of single cask whiskies from Scotland's finest distilleries are releases from the Family owned Independent Bottlers; The Vintage Malt Whisky Company. The range is a homage to the passion and skill of the Coopers, the craftsmen, who build the barrels for maturation of Scotch Whisky. The range focuses on the impact of maturation in oak, and includes several obscure and rare wood finishes.

Linkwood distillery, owned by Diageo and found in the Speyside region of Scotland is firmly in the 'lighter' style of malt. After decent maturation though this lightness is met with fantastic mouthfeel and texture, that makes Linkwood a distillery well sought after by malt whisky fans. 

This single cask release from Cooper's Choice of a single cask of Linkwood 11 Year Old Speyside single malt scotch whisky was initially matured in a single American Oak cask before a finish in an ex-Muscat wine cask, before bottling with natural colour, no chill filtration. 

Expect a delightfully rich and fruity dram with strong notes of apricots, honey and oranges. The muscat cask has added excellent weight to the palate ensuring a long luscious finish.

The single cask (#209) produced only 348 bottles, with the Australian allocation being 24 bottles.
