The Cooper's Choice range of single cask whiskies from Scotland's finest distilleries are releases from the Family owned Independent Bottlers; The Vintage Malt Whisky Company. The range is a homage to the passion and skill of the Coopers, the craftsmen, who build the barrels for maturation of Scotch Whisky. The range focuses on the impact of maturation in oak, and includes several obscure and rare wood finishes.
This single cask release from Cooper's Choice of Inchgower 19 year old scotch whisky was distilled in 2001 in the northern Speyside distillery. The malt spent most of it's life in an American oak cask, before an additional finish in an ex-sauternes (sweet white wine) cask. Bottling with natural colour, no chill filtration and at cask strength!
Expect a vibrant nose of green apples and honeydew melon, with a bright palate of grapefruit and citrus zest, gentle spice and ginger with a touch of cereal. The finish is generous and shows a touch of coastal quality.
700mL, 49.5% VOL. From a cask of only 258 bottles.
