Glentauchers-Glenlivet 10 year old Cadenhead Scotch whisky

Wm Cadenhead’s Ltd is Scotland’s oldest independent bottler, founded in 1842 but since 1972 they have been based in Campbeltown.

Cadenhead’s specialise in bottling single cask or small batch whisky, gin, rum, cognac, and other spirits from across all of Scotland and the rest of the world.

This 10 year old from the Speyside Glentauchers distillery was matured in a curious mix of creamy American oak, fruity and rich oloroso sherry oak and crisp, dry and salty Manzanilla sherry oak. The overall affect has created a big, fruity and spicy intriguing whisky.

The official notes read: "This is truly an intriguing dram. Dessert notes and hints of dried fruit are present throughout, combining to create a sweet lovable whisky. Dried fruits, malted rye bread, sticky toffee pudding.  Crème brulée, golden raisins, fruit and nut chocolate”.
