Douglas McGibbon’s Clan Denny Single Cask Single Malt & Single Grain Scotch Whisky are a particularly unique series of individually hand-selected aged Single Cask expressions from distilleries all over Scotland. Each selection is of only the finest casks which have been lying untouched in cold, dark and damp Scottish warehouses for many decades.
Aged from around 7 Years Old to 30 Years Old plus, Clan Denny Single Cask Single Malts are typically bottled at 48% alcohol strength, whilst Single Grains are offered at 50% alcohol strength.
Each is bottled exactly the way the distiller intended, without colouring, or chill-filtration, and wrapped up with premium packaging, presented in a gift tube, making it a perfect gift for any Whisky lover.
From Douglas McGibbons, this Clan Denny bottling of 2007 distillation from the Speyside Glentauchers distillery was matured for 12 years in a refill butt, before bottling at 48% ABV.
This is a typical Glentauchers, bright but smooth and delicate. Delightful floral notes jump from the glass, alongside green fruits and honey. The palate is gentle with more honey'd fruits, with nuts and spice. A very classy malt.
