Glenlossie 11 year old 20011 Amontillado Finish Scotch Whisky by The Cooper's Choice

The Cooper's Choice range of single cask whiskies from Scotland's finest distilleries are releases from the Family owned Independent Bottlers; The Vintage Malt Whisky Company. The range is a homage to the passion and skill of the Coopers, the craftsmen, who build the barrels for maturation of Scotch Whisky. The range focuses on the impact of maturation in oak, and includes several obscure and rare wood finishes.

The Cooper's Choice Glenlossie 11 year old Amontillado cask finish is a single cask, cask strength bottling of whisky from the Speyside Glenlossie distillery. After an initial maturation in American Oak the whisky was then finished for an additional period in a single ex-Amontillado sherry cask. The result is a delightfully oily and buttery whisky with nutty notes, sweet malt, fruits and herbs.

Nose: Light grassy notes with hazelnut and oak.

Palate: Delicious sweet malt with dried fruits, herbs and spices. Touch of ginger.

Finish: Medium length with caramel spice and a light woodiness.

The single cask (#4466) produced only 300 bottles, with the Australian allocation being 12 bottles.
