The Balvenie 'French Oak' 16 Year Old Scotch Whisky
The Balvenie distillery was built in 1892 by William J. Grant. The name Balvenie means 'village of luck'. The company is still in the hand of the William Grant & Sons Ltd.
The Balvenie 'French Oak' 16 Year Old Scotch Whisky was matured for over 16 years initially in American Oak cask before a finish in ex-Pineau des Charentes French Oak casks.
Only a tiny number of these made it to Australia, and we have 1 bottle only for sale.
The whisky is elegant and refined, with almond and ginger notes, with honey, apricots and gentle toasted oak.
