Matsui The Tottori Bourbon Barrel Blended Japanese Whisky

The Tottori range from Japan's Kurayoshi is a series of blended whisky made with Scottish and Japanese malts and grains, named after the home prefecture of the distillery.

The Tottori Bourbon Barrel Blended Japanese Whisky  is composed of several whiskies that have been matured in Bourbon barrels for at least 3 years. The casks add sweet caramel and vanilla notes to this smooth slightly smoky Japanese Whisky.

The Ultimate Spirits Challenge notes: "Bourbon barrels make their presence known on the nose, but are far from overpowering the bright grain and citrus notes that accompany them. It is remarkably balanced and medium bodied on the palate, with flavors that hint at graham crackers and mandarin orange. Exquisitely complex."
