Bunnahabhain 18 Year Old 2004 Old Particular Scotch Whisky

Since 1948 Douglas Laing and Co have been trailblazers in the Independent Bottling scene. Innovators in packaging and liquid, never afraid to bottle casks of unique and distinct character. The Old Particular range from Douglas Laing represent bottlings of 'particularly' highly sought after casks from across Scotland. Bottled with no-chill filtration or colour additions at higher ABV's.

From the Islay Bunnahabhain Distillery comes this delectable malt Scotch Whisky from a single cask (cask ref DL16908). The peated Bunnahabhain spirit was distilled in 2004and left in a single refill butt for more than 18 years, until Douglas Laing bottled it for their Old Particular series, with an outturn of 592 bottles. A wonderfully intense and rich malt with a sweet underlying peat smoke.

"Nose: Immediately oceanic carrying a sweet and salty smoked meat character with oily fishing ropes. Palate: Deep and intense with rich red fruits moving to sweet peat smoked barley and Demerara sugar. Finish: Long and sweet with a Big Peat Islay quality, burning bonfires, sweet peat and tobacco." CSL
