Ardnamurchan AD/ Sherry Cask Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
A relative new-comer (and hidden gem) is Ardnamurchan distillery. Founded by Adelphi Selection (Independent Bottlers) in 2014 on the Ardnamurchan peninsula, the most westerly peninsula on the British mainland; the distillery produces both peated and unpeated styles. Impressively, Ardnamurchan distillery convincingly markets itself as the 'greenest' distillery in Scotland.
AD Sherry Cask forms part of the Ardnamurchan 'core range' bottlings. A QR code on the back label will provide you with all the information you could possibly want on your bottle. Including batch size, bottling date and who bottled the whisky! It's about full transparency from field to bottle.
In lose terms the AD Sherry cask single malt scotch whisky release is roughly 50/50 unpeated and peated spirit, fully matured in a mix of ex-Oloroso sherry and ex-PX sherry casks.
