Royal Brackla 11 year old Cadenhead Scotch whisky

Wm Cadenhead’s Ltd is Scotland’s oldest independent bottler, founded in 1842 but since 1972 they have been based in Campbeltown.

Cadenhead’s specialise in bottling single cask or small batch whisky, gin, rum, cognac, and other spirits from across all of Scotland and the rest of the world.

Cadenhead’s Original Collection Range are curious vattings bottled at 46% ABV.

The Highland Royal Brackla distillery was the first distillery in Scotland to be granted a royal warrant, and creates malt whisky with a light and fruity spirit, which has worked exceptionally well in this case with a finish in an ex-fino sherry cask. Distilled in 2011, the malt was racked into the ex-fino cask in march 2022, for an 18 month finish prior to bottling in September 2023. The resulting whisky has delicate orange peel notes, with a warm honeyed note and grapefruit citrus notes.
