Old Perth scotch whisky was a lost blend that was originally created by the fiercely proud Perthshire family, the Thomsons. It was the family’s blender, Peter Thomson who originally produced the 'Old Perth' blend. In homage to Peter every box of Old Perth carries his family’s name.
One of Scotland’s oldest whisky families, the Morrisons (formerly of Morrison Bowmore Distillers), purchased the Old Perth brand and brought the legacy back to life for all to enjoy.
The Old Perth 'Manzanilla' Limited Edition Blended Malt Scotch Whisky was a small batch release (4,200 bottles) launched in 2024 from a vatting of whisky all maturing in ex-Manzanilla sherry casks (6 hogsheads and 5 butts). The resulting whisky is bursting with fragrant and floral notes with layers of amaretti biscuits.
