The Cooper's Choice Cameronbridge 15 Year Old Single Grain Amontillado Finished Scotch Whisky

The Cooper's Choice range of single cask whiskies from Scotland's finest distilleries are releases from the Family owned Independent Bottlers; The Vintage Malt Whisky Company. The range is a homage to the passion and skill of the Coopers, the craftsmen, who build the barrels for maturation of Scotch Whisky. The range focuses on the impact of maturation in oak, and includes several obscure and rare wood finishes.

This single cask bottling of lowland single grain distilled at the Cameronbridge distillery was initially matyured in an American Oak cask before a finish in an ex-Amontillado sherry cask, adding a notes of nuts and dried fruits. The palate has creamy notes with dried fruits and a touch of tobacco and salted caramel.

Nose: Sweet coconut, polished oak tables and spices

Palate: More coconut and spice with dried fruits and a waft of tobacco. Late salted caramel notes

Finish: Medium length. Late light woodiness. Delightful

The single cask (#462894) produced only 306 bottles, with the Australian allocation being 12 bottles.
