Benriach 2013/8 year old Carn Mor Strictly Limited Scotch Whisky

The Carn Mor Strictly Limited range of Scotch Whisky from the Family-owned Independent Bottlers, Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers, are a collection of Scotch whiskies from some of the finest distilleries in Scotland. What makes the whiskies so special is that all the whiskies are non-chill-filtered to keep all of the oils and proteins that give it that fantastic authentic and non-doctored flavour in the bottle. As real as it gets.

This 8 year-old scotch whisky was distilled in 2013 at the Speyside Benriach distillery. The whisky was matured in an ex-sherry butt. Prior to bottling the whisky was proofed back to 47.5% ABV, with no chill-filtration or colour added. 1805 bottles were produced.

Simon's notes:  Lifted Christmas pudding aromas from the glass, with burnt butter and toffee. Warming oak spices fill the palate and a gentle oiliness helps ensure a long and fruity finish.
