The Whisky Cellar Aultmore 13 Year Old Scotch Malt Whisky

The Whisky Cellar is an Edinburgh-based independent Scotch Whisky bottler, selecting casks from its private stock at the peak of their character. Founded by Keeper of the Quaich, Keith Bonnington, Keith searches far and wide for casks showing exceptional complexity of flavour and length on the palate.

The Whisky Cellar Aultmore 2009 13 Year Old single malt scotch whisky is a single cask (ex-red wine barrique #304855) bottling from the series 6 out-turn from Edinburgh based Independent Bottler, The Whisky Cellar. A perfectly balanced malt, considering full maturation in red-wine barrique, with plenty of the zesty and butterscotch Aultmore malt character coming through.

Expect a some wine-y characters of spiced sultanas, raisins and plums alongside rich butterscotch and chocolate notes with a subtle oak char.

The cask produced 297 bottles (with 24 coming to Australia) at a natural cask strength of 53.2% ABV.
