Blair Athol 11 Year Old Scotch Whisky - Single Malts Of Scotland

As an independent bottler, Speciality Drinks Ltd searches for casks from the different distilleries around Scotland, looking for the best malts to share with whisky enthusiasts the world over. Each cask is sampled and only if it is found to be of the best quality will it be bottled in the Single Malts of Scotland range as a Single Cask or as part of a small batch. 

A batch of five ex-bourbon hogsheads from Blair Athol distillery was used to create this single malt, distilled in 2009 and aged for more than 11 years.

Expect fruit and nut chocolate, then good old fashioned butter shortbread biscuits with a warm cup of cinnamon chai tea. The palate has warming ginger spice, chocolate truffles and caramelised nuts, with a touch of liquorice.  The finish is smooth with lingering ginger spice notes. .

Bottled without chill filtration or colour additions at a high strength of 48% ABV.
